About our family

These last years, we have made the same observation as many people, that time passes too quickly. We see it with our 2 children who are already so grown up. We have the impression that they were born yesterday. We have this unpleasant feeling of not having seen them grow up as we would have liked, not having enjoyed enough, not having shared enough, not having cuddled enough. So naturally we decided to change our path.

At the very beginning, it was a dream, a desire to discover new horizons, new encounters, different cultures, but it was also a need, the need to take the time to live, as a family, more serenely, more in agreement with ourselves and with who we are. So, after a quick family consultation, a few years ago, the decision was made, we are going to go on a world tour. In the end, it didn't take much to motivate us: the only two questions we had to answer were: How? How long will it take?

But there was always another question: How to live one's dream if we are not completely free from our obligations, from this mold imposed by society? So we made a decision, finally so simple, to answer this question: we left everything, sold everything.

Here we are, 2022, the year of our departure, for this great journey, the one we have imagined for so long. It was a complete tour of Europe, literally, having discovered all the different countries, landscapes and cultures.

With this trip, we were able to take the time to be together; to share, to listen, to laugh, to cry, to get angry, to sing and to kiss: finally, it was to have seen our children grow up on this road that this trip offered us. But we didn't do it alone, because without him, nothing would have been possible, his name was: "Sterne" and he was our first 6x6 expedition truck.

After a year of travel, having traveled all over Europe, we decided to return to France, and yes, because all good things must come to an end. But we couldn't resign ourselves to becoming sedentary again. So we decided to travel again and this time for an indefinite period.

For this new trip, we decided to change our vehicle. It is called "Danaus" our new 4x4 house. And we have decided to go beyond Europe with him, to live a new journey, a new adventure.
